Sunday School Classes
Sunday School classes are held for all
ages from 2 years old up each Sunday from 9:35-10:35 a.m., during the
"academic" year, September through May. For those younger than 2,
nursery care is provided (in room 113 of the nursery wing).
Confirmation Class
is for students in
eighth grade and is preparation for full church membership. It meets
during the Sunday School hour, from 9:35 to 10:35 a.m., and is taught
this year by Jeff and Rhonda Wood. In addition to classroom time, each
student will have the opportunity to spend time with elders and deacons
in the church and to learn more about the responsibilities of church
membership. Special mission projects and social gatherings are also
planned. |

Vacation Bible School
In the summer, Vacation Bible School is
offered for children from age 3 through those entering Grade 5. Junior
and senior highs assist as teachers and aides in our yearly VBS. VBS
has traditionally been held in the mornings, but the date varies from
year to year. In 2008, our VBS will be held the week of August 4-8. |

Kids Klub
Kids Klub is held once a month from
October through April, the first Wednesday of each month, from 5:30
until 6:45 p.m. (just before the children's choir rehearsals), at the
Youth Center. Kids Klub is for children in kindergarten (or younger, if
they are ready to sit and listen to a Bible story and work on a craft
independently) through grade 5. |

Libraries
Our church is fortunate to have two
libraries, a children's library (at the top of the stairs in the
education wing) and an adult library (in the "Breezeway" opposite the
entry doors to the education wing). All are welcome to sign out books
and other resources from these libraries. |

Snyder Scholarship
Through an endowment given to the church
by Anne M. Snyder, MPC is fortunate to be able to offer scholarship
assistance to members of MPC who are continuing their education. Each
year in the spring, those graduating from high school and those already
in college have the opportunity to apply for this money. |

Playful Beginnings
MPC sponsors a preschool program called
Playful Beginnings. This program has classes for children from eighteen
months old through four years. It meets daily, Monday through Thursday,
from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Children bring their own lunches.
Playful Beginnings also offers a summer program each year.
