Deacons

Deacons are nominated and elected by the people and shall minister to those in need, the sick, the friendless and any who may be in distress, according to the scriptural duties of the office.  They should be of spiritual mind and be of sympathy and service.  Deacons oversee the wide variety of programs, serving members of the congregation and on a limited basis, those outside the church. They are subject to the authority and guidance of the session.
