Happily Ever After

A group for couples in their 20's - 40's with or without children. They plan a fun schedule of activities for couples and families like snow-tubing, DelGrosso Water Park, bowling and Valentine luncheons.

Happy Hikers

This group of outdoor enthusiasts enjoys walking and hiking trips to nearby state parks and trails each Tuesday morning at 8:30 am.  They also camp, bike and hike, and canoe.  Adopt-A-Highway/Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful pick-up also is supported by Happy Hikers working approximately four times a year on a two mile area of Route 114 from Carlisle Pike to near the railroad tracks in Mechanicsburg. PennDOT provides gloves and orange vests for workers who are interested in helping with trash pick-up. Eight people are needed to volunteer on assigned dates. Larry Sharer (761-2518) is the contact person.

Beginning December 6, 2011, Happy Hikers will meet at the church at 1 PM for our hikes, rather than 8:30 AM.

Happy Hikers' Labor Day Hike and Picnic

Despite the rain, the Happy Hikers met at the church on Labor Day.  Some went on a walk in Mechanicsburg while some got started on games.  After the walk the rest of the group joined in playing games.  The day was topped off with a delicious picnic lunch in the cool dry shelter of the Fellowship Hall.

Late to the Party

MPC's newest social group for younger adults with or without children.  The name seems to fit because they were a late forming group and because some of them are always, perpetually late.

Married With Children

A social group that gets together at will. They have had sweetheart dinners and white elephant events.  They have a wide range of ages and interests, but the common thread is they have children - from elementary age to post high school.

Mix 'n Mingles

A social group for couples and singles  in the 60 plus age group.  They meet monthly, usually on Saturdays, for a wide variety of enjoyable activities such as eating dinner, going to the theater, visiting museums, playing mini-golf, etc.

Pep Set

This active group of older retirees meets the third Wednesday of the month at Hoss's or for picnics or programs.
  • Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 15 at 11 AM in the Conference Room, when the program will be a planning meeting for the 2012 season. I need all of your input. Any questions or concerns, contact Rich Trout (697-1608). A light lunch to follow meeting.

Singles' Group

This varied group of singles comes together to provide a supportive, caring and loving atmosphere for each other. They gather monthly for fun and fellowship doing such things as plays, dinners, concerts, bowling, hiking and more.
