Cathay Snyder

Christian Educator

Cathay Snyder is our Christian Educator. Cathay became a member of MPC in 2003 and is an ordained ruling elder. She spent many volunteer hours working as a youth leader, Sunday School teacher, and story teller at VBS, and served as our Interim Youth Director in 2011. Since 1998, Cathay has taught in the History Department at Messiah College as an Adjunct Instructor and also serves as the Coordinator for the National History Day Regional contest that they host each year. Cathay received a B.A. in History/Secondary Education from Cedar Crest College and an M.A. in American Studies from PSU. She enjoys reading, the beach, historical research, and spending time with friends and family, especially with her niece, nephews, and grandsons. She joined the MPC staff on August 28, 2017.
