Rev. Kathryn Z. Johnston

Senior Pastor

The Reverend Kathryn Z. Johnston began serving with the congregation of Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church as Senior Pastor/Head of Staff in March, 2009. Ordained in 2001, Reverend Johnston previously served as Solo Pastor at Dickinson Presbyterian Church, Carlisle, PA. She has a passion for proclaiming the Word of God and seeks to nurture God’s beloved children in all stages of their faith. A graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, Kathryn earned her M.Div. at Princeton Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey (2000); her home state. Reverend Johnston is married to the Reverend Martha K. Spong. Together they have four children (3 ‘adulting’ out in the world, 1 in middle school), a cat and a lively lab mix named Teddy and a chocolate lab named Reese.
