We dedicate this Day of Prayer and Fasting for Worldwide Ceasefire to you. Help us center our hearts and minds on you so that we may be continually reminded of your call to justice and peace.

Remind us, O God, that prayer and fasting are not mere rituals, but a tangible expression of our confidence in you and hopeful anticipation of the coming of your future kin-dom. In the quiet of our fast, let all noisy distractions fade away so we may hear the needs of the world, the cries of the vulnerable, and the quiet whispers of those who yearn for safety, comfort, and peace.

During this sacred time, bind us together as a community of faith, transcending borders and divisions. Empower us to love courageously, pray courageously, and seek you courageously as we bring forth our prayers for a worldwide ceasefire and end to all war.
