Our Children’s Sunday School Classes are exciting and fun as we instill in them that they are loved by God. Sunday School is open to toddlers through 5th grade.

We’ll discuss the weekly Bible story, see what our Whirl Friends are up to, and think about what we can do throughout the week to live out God’s Word.

We welcome and encourage children of all ages to be in worship. We understand that little ones may wiggle and move, drop crayons, or whisper a little too loud, yet we watch while they also sing, pray, and listen along with the rest of the congregation as part of our faith community.
Children worship bags can be found in the back of the Sanctuary and other activities can be found on the Children's Worship Table located in front of the font.
Understanding that little ones may need a break from worship, our Nursery is staffed by caring individuals who have cleared background checks.
Each summer we send children to Krislund Camp, a joint outdoor ministry of the Carlisle, Huntingdon, & Northumberland Presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church USA. The Christian Education Committee contributes $150 towards the cost of each camper; more money is available through the Chris Rossman Fund.
Nestled on over 800 acres in scenic Centre County, Krislund offers faith-based summer camp programs in addition to year-round conference and retreat facilities. Krislund offers a wide variety of summer camp experiences for all ages, including camps for families and grandparents. The beautiful conference and retreat facilities are available throughout the year for groups, organizations, businesses, and individuals. There’s something for everyone at Krislund!

Playful Beginnings is a preschool program sponsored by Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church. The focus is on providing a loving, Christian environment in which all children can experience the informal learning that can contribute to the child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and religious growth.
The selection of a preschool is an important decision. We realize that you will have many questions as you begin your search and urge you to come for a tour, visit the classes while the children are here, and talk to our staff. Handbooks are distributed at the orientation for parents.
