Gentle God,

We trust that you have a tender heart for all people who are in harm’s way. Our hearts are tender for them, too. We know that vulnerability comes in many shapes and all sizes: frail bodies, whether young or aged, ill or disabled; anxious minds, facing imminent danger or the stress of what may be; downcast spirits, feeling helpless to protect themselves or their loved ones, or grieving in anticipation of loss.

Give those who are vulnerable in this time of strife a sense of your abiding presence. Strengthen their flagging spirits. Soothe their troubled minds.  Protect their precious lives, for they are all your beloved children.

We pray for peace.
