A Few Things That Happened Last Week (5/30 edition)

1. We held indoor, in-person worship9 for the first time since March 2020!
2. The Cornerstone as put together and mailed out on May 27th. You can see the pdf version here: http://www.mechpresby.org/documents.aspx
3. Session met and approved the motion from the Christian Education & Social Justice Committee to become a PCUSA Matthew 25 congregation, with a dual focus on Building Congregational Vitality and Dismantling Systemic Racism. The committee will be communicating to the congregation about the opportunities that accompany this designation.
4. Session also approved the motion from the Christian Education & Social Justice Committee to become a More Light Presbyterian Congregation. The committee will be communicating what this means for MPC. 
5. The Pastor's Bible Study met in person for the first time in over fourteen months. Please join us, Thursdays at noon in Upper Fellowship Hall. It's a mostly weekly class that looks at the sermon from the previous week and the Scripture for the upcoming week.
