What? 2nd American Composers' Choral Festival

Who? The Harrisburg Singers with nine church choirs
They will welcome Dr. Mack Wilberg, the Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed Mormon Tabernacle Choir and one of America's foremost composers of sacred music. Dr. Wilberg will direct the 250 voice choir and instrumentalists in some of his best-known works.
$10.00 tickets will be available at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill beginning January 10. Tickets should be purchased early because a large crowd is expected. Penn State University Choir directed by Dr Tony Leach The 80 voice University Choir is the oldest mixed voice choir in the School of Music at Penn State University. Undergraduate and graduate students from every college at the University Park campus perform sacred and secular music in concerts at the university, in tours across the state and our country. Internationally they have sung in Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Latvia and Poland. Membership is by audition. Dr. Leach is in his 25th year of teaching at the university. He has distinguished himself throughout the nation and globally as a most talented pianist, singer and choral director. In 2009-10 he was chosen as Penn State's laureate. We are fortunate as a congregation to have him as a wonderful friend. |
